The con is that it slows down rendering time but I’ll gladly trade that for comfortable night reading. It seems to “get it right” for most images. Considering the degree of control it affords, especially at no cost, this gives nighteye a true run for its money.

This should be one of the default features of Chrome. After a few weeks of use, I can’t imagine browsing (at night) without this particlar extension (+ Adblock of course..).

Best one I’ve found. The others all render the page in it’s original colors before quickly re-rendering as dark, which is maddening. This one is instantly dark every time.

Tried out just about every dark mode extension there was for Chrome and this one does the best job converting every page to a dark theme HANDS DOWN. Not one other extension comes close to the level of performance in terms of legibility that this extension offers. As others have said, the speed could be improved, but the results speak for themselves. Great extension!

I really love this app. Very easy to use and turn on and off as needed. I will definitely be suggesting it to Family and Friends.

It is great for eye strain and recommended for anyone who needs a darker screen for all or selected sites!

I’m using a dark theme, but my browser wasn’t dark enough. But then I found Dark Reader. I was skeptical at first, thinking that I’d need to fiddle around in settings. After adding it to Chrome, I was surprised by how quickly it inverted the colors - the open tabs didn’t even need to be closed. In case you missed it, Dark Reader won’t work on the Chrome Web Store or the history/settings pages, and you can always disable it on pages that won’t load properly or sites that have a pre-existing dark mode.

Красавчики, ребята!!! Класс работает! Есть небольшой недочет: контент на странице если вставлен как фрейм, его не изменяет через динамический, а через фильтр если, то может в картинках и видео инвертировать цвета. Может можно что то с этим сделать?! В общем спасибо огромное!
